What do pimple patches do?
Our pimple patches put a little distance between your skin and the outside world. They keep germs, bacteria, dirt and other nasties away from the sensitive parts of your skin. Why is this important? Pimple patches offer protection and help target blemishes using different ingredients, like tea tree oil and niacinamide, to visibly reduce redness and promote clearer skin. Think of it like putting a Band-Aid on a cut – it keeps the skin clean and away from infection-causing nasties.
Where do pimple patches sit in my routine?
The best time to put your pimple patches on is just before you go to bed, however you can wear them any time you feel! We especially recommend putting them on when you catch yourself picking at your skin. Try to space out your skincare routine from when you pop on the patches so that you give your other products a chance to sink into your skin before popping them on.
Do pimple patches work on blind pimples?
Blind pimples are the worst, right? They form deeper under the skin when your pores get clogged and inflamed. The hardest part is avoiding the temptation to pick at them, but we highly recommend you leave them be, otherwise it can cause issues later on. This is where a pimple patch comes in handy. Not only will the blind pimple be protected from the germy outside world, it can stop you from picking at it, too.
For blind pimples specifically, we recommend our patch it up - cica micro dart patches. Unlike standard hydrocolloid patches that sit on top of the skin, these use microscopic dart technology to physically penetrate deep into the skin, targeting pimples that haven't even emerged yet.
Do your patches work on other skin issues, like cystic acne?
There are a lot of factors that can cause cystic acne and we know it can be painful, frustrating and just plain awful to manage. Our pimple patches can work great in tandem with other treatments by reducing redness at the more surface level layers of skin. But for acne that’s deeper below the surface, you’ll need to consult your dermatologist or skin specialist.
If you're dealing with larger, more inflamed spots, our patch it up - large pimple patches are specifically designed for bigger, cystic-style blemishes. They work to visibly absorb, reduce redness and protect skin while also helping to correct post-breakout pigmentation.
Do pimple patches leave scars?
When used correctly, no, the breakout hack pimple patches won’t leave scars – but picking or popping your blemishes can. We recommend leaving your patches on for up to 6 hours, or overnight if you can, to maximise results.
How are the ultra-thin patches different from the original multi-size pimple patches?
The original multi-size pimple patches use four key active ingredients (ascorbic acid, tea tree oil, salicylic acid, and hydrocolloid,) and are ideal for overnight wear.
Whilst the new ultra-thin invisible pimple patches are made only with the thinnest possible hydrocolloid, making them perfect for daytime use - especially under makeup or on bare skin.
Are the pimple patches vegan and cruelty free?
